"Your generosity matters": Ukrainian Catholic bishops in the US statement on Hurricanes Helene and Milton

In recent weeks, we have seen the heartbreaking devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. While we cannot control the forces of nature, we can control how we respond—with compassion, generosity, and unity.

As followers of Christ, we are called to care for the sick, the wounded, and those who have lost everything. Our Ukrainian Catholic community has felt the impact of generosity, having experienced the world’s support for Ukraine in its time of need. Now, it’s our turn to extend that same support to those facing hardship right here at home.

On October 20, we will host a special collection in our parishes to support Catholic Charities in their relief efforts.

Your generosity matters. Together, let’s make sure no one faces this challenge alone.
