From November 15 to 17, the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia hosted a women’s retreat at the picturesque Saint Alfonso Retreat House, located on the oceanfront.
The retreat was led by Father Volodymyr Prokipchuk and featured a special session on Saturday with the Sisters of the Incarnate Word, who shared insights from their pastoral ministry. Participants explored themes such as the role of women in parish and family life, the image and authority of Mary, the Mother of God, and the core values of the Holy Family.
Throughout the retreat, the women united in prayer, participating in the Divine Liturgy and praying the Rosary for their families and for peace in Ukraine.
The serene oceanfront setting offered participants the opportunity for quiet reflection and prayer, while also fostering a sense of community and spiritual renewal. The breathtaking views and tranquil environment made the retreat a memorable and enriching experience for all who attended.
