Camps for children at the Assumption Catholic Church and the Assumption Catholic School in Perth Amboy

A four-week children's camp was held at the Assumption Catholic Church and the Assumption Catholic School in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. 100 children, including parishioners and school students, had the opportunity to participate in the camp. During the entire camp, there were seven teachers, Mr. Shumny was the director of the school, as well as Fr. Ivan Turyk conducted studies, prayers, excursions, physical activities, and entertainment for the children. At the end of the camp, the children had some extra special treats - inflatable houses, cotton candy, face painting, and pizza.

From July 31 to August 2, 2023, the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Perth Amboy, New Jersey will host a youth camp “Vacation With God”. Children from 1st to 8th grades are invited to participate. The daily program will be from 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

If you would like your child/children to learn about God’s love for them and meet other youngsters from our parish, please register your child for this free camp. Lunch will be provided, as will activities, games, and crafts. The camp will take place at the church hall and school, and children will be separated by age groups.
