Archeparchy of Philadelphia Joins Inter-religious Prayer to Stop Gun Violenece

On Friday, June 7, 2021, the Archeparchy of Philadelphia joined the 'Toll the Bell: A Cry for Peace,' an interreligious prayer event organized by Penn Live Arts of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. The event aimed to address the issue of gun violence in the City of Brotherly Love. Representatives from Christian, Jewish, and Sikh communities gathered to pray for peace in the city and for those affected by gun violence.

Following the prayers, all attendees marched to the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral while bells tolled at more than 40 locations across the city, including the Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. The Archeparchy of Philadelphia was represented at the service by Rev. Ruslan Boroviy, Vice-Chancellor, and Rev. Volodymyr Radko, Vocations Director.
