Bishops Welcomed at Kindergarten Feast of Saint Nicholas

On Thursday, December 16, Archbishop Borys Gudziak and Bishop Andriy Rabiy, along with Fr. Ostap Mykytchyn, joined the celebration of the Feast of Saint Nicholas organized by the Ukrainian Kindergarten “Svitlychka ” in Philadelphia.

In his address, Metropolitan Borys greeted the children and their parents with best wishes for Christmas, expressing the special hope that their families always be full of Christ’s peace. Bishop Andriy extended his greetings to all present as well. Roksolana Fartushok, administrator of “Svitlychka,” presented gifts made by the children to both bishops. Archbishop Borys received a small Christmas tree that will decorate his desk, while Bishop Andriy received a beautiful Christmas tree ornament.

 

Three kindergarten classes performed skits for the occasion. The evening culminated with a visit from Saint Nicholas who gave the kids gifts and wished a blessed Christmas to all.
