In the parishes of Archeparchy, children continue to receive Solemn Confession and First Holy Communion.

On May 28, 2023, at St. Stephen's Parish in Toms River, New Jersey, 5 children received their First Solemn Confession and First Holy Communion. On June 11, 2023, at St. Nicholas Parish in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 4 children received their First Holy Confession and Solemn Holy Communion.

Our communities celebrate in a special way when young members of the community take an important step in their spiritual journey. Through the Sacrament of Holy Confession, they accept the opportunity to ask for forgiveness, reflect on their actions and draw closer to God's love and grace. It's a good reminder for all of us to constantly evaluate ourselves and strive for personal growth. After this important experience, children also receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Participating in the Body and Blood of Christ, they are part of the Mystical Body of Christ - the Church - which unites all of us as believers.
