"Mothers in Prayer"

On Saturday, March 18, 2023, the parish of St. Michael the Archangel, in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, held a Lenten prayer service of the "Mothers in Prayer". The prayer program began with the Divine Liturgy, followed by spiritual science, lunch, the Akafist to the Passion of Christ, the prayer of Psalms in times of war, and the Taize prayer. All present had the opportunity to proceed to the holy mystery of confession. At the end, there was a prayer procession with the icon "The Virgin in Sorrow" to the monastery of the sisters of St. Basil the Great.

The "Mothers in Prayer" movement of Ukraine is a group of mothers who regularly gather for joint prayer with the blessing of the Patriarch and, in particular, of each ruling bishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church for their diocese. These communities are organized by diocesan and national communities.
