Сhildren's camp at St. Michael’s Parish in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania

On June 19, 2023, a children's camp began at St. Michael’s Parish in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. This year's camp is attended by 100 children who, for three weeks, study the Works of Mercy for the body and soul.

The presiding priests for the camp are Rev. Vasyl Kharuk and Rev. Ostap Mykytchyn. The teachers for the five groups of children of varying ages are Fr. Ruslan Borovy, deacon Andrii Rubel, deacon Mykola Dziurakh, Yulia Mykytchyn, Uliana Dziurakh and Veronika Broslavska. 9 volunteers offered good support for organizing leisure time and helping teachers.

The Christian camp aims to enrich children spiritually, provide an emotional outlet during the summer holiday and help them find like-minded friends. The camp program has a spiritual element: daily Divine Service, catechism, and prayer before meals, as well as an emotional and entertaining element: bans, joint games, watching movies and learning various crafts.
