PA Clearances

Pennsylvania’s Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) requires all individuals who work or volunteer around minors to submit two clearances: the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance.
Additionally, those who do not meet the residency requirement (residing in PA for the previous 10 consecutive years) must obtain the FBI Criminal History Clearance. In
contrast, those who meet the residency requirement submit the appropriate Disclosure Statement instead.
Links for Clearances and Disclosure Statements are available through the PA Department of Human Services. Additionally, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of
Philadelphia has helpful information.
All documents should be mailed to the Chancery and/or emailed to the Safe Environment Coordinator: smclaughlin@ukrcatholic.org.
