Priestly Retreat

The word "retreat" comes from the Latin word retrahere, meaning "to pull back." The essence of a retreat is to step away from the usual activities of life and come together around Christ. Amid the chaos of our daily responsibilities, a retreat offers a moment of silence, reflection, and spiritual rejuvenation.

In recent years, our priestly retreats have taken place at a Redemptorist center in New Jersey. Previously, they were held at seminaries in Washington, D.C., or Stamford, CT.

In the photos, you might recognize future bishops who once served as priests in our diocese, along with some of your former or current pastors.
