Subdeacon Yuriy Pylypchak Ordination to Diaconate

 Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia announces that subdeacon Yuriy Pylypchak will be ordained a deacon by Archbishop Metropolitan Borys Gudziak.  The ordination will take place on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Baltimore, 2401 Eastern Ave. Baltimore, MD 21224.

Subdeacon Yuriy Pylypchak

• Born on September 28, 1984, in Ternopil, Ukraine
• 2001-2008 studied at the Patriarch Joseph Slipyj Seminary in Ternopil
• October 14, 2007 – ordained Subdeacon by Archbishop and Metropolitan Vasyl Semeniuk of Ternopil-Zboriv Archeaprchy in Zarvanytsia
• 2009-2014 – Licentiate and Doctoral studies at Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, Rome, Italy
• September 20, 2014 married Iryna Medved
• Since 2016 he works as chaplain at Shady Grove Medical Center, Rockville, MD
• Subdeacon Yuriy and Iryna have two daughters: Sofia and Diana
