30-Meter Painting to Be Unveiled at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in Philadelphia

Members of the community, Philadelphians, and media are invited to the public unveiling of “Song of Songs of the Ukrainian People,” a 30-meter outdoor painting created throughout March 2026 by professional artists, wounded Ukrainian soldiers receiving prosthetic and medical care in the United States, students of the Ukrainian School of Philadelphia, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Olha Stefanishyna, and members of the local Ukrainian community.

The mural was created by three Ukrainian artists — Tetyana Myalkovska, a Gold Star mother who lost her son, soldier Mykola Myalkivsky, in the war against Russia; Tetiana Rusetska; and Iryna Semenenko.

WHEN: Sunday, March 29, 2026 | 11:40 AM (immediately following Divine Liturgy)

WHERE: Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 810 N Franklin St, Philadelphia, PA (outdoor lawn near the church)

PROGRAM: Blessing of willow branches and formal unveiling of the mural, remarks by Archbishop Borys Gudziak and project initiator Tetyana Myalkovska, followed by an open painting session where attendees are invited to add a personal mark to the canvas.

On site: a charity art exhibition with works available for purchase, and a donation station supporting children from Ukraine's Kherson region attending the art-rehabilitation camp "Easter in Warm Palms."
