On July 8, 2023, in the monastery church of the sisters of Saint Basil the Great in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, there was a thanksgiving Divine Liturgy. The prayer was led by Rev. Daniel Troyan.
November 28 will mark 112 years since the arrival of the first Basilian Sisters to the United States, where they founded the province. The first nuns arrived from Yavoriv in 1911 and settled in Philadelphia. They were invited by bishop Soter Ortynskyi. In America, the sisters took care of Ukrainian orphans, initiated parish schools, and opened a high school and even a college.

Working for the good of the community, for 112 years the sisters have been providing spiritual support to Ukrainian emigrants.
