Metropolitan Borys Gudziak and the Archeparchy Delegation Visit Rome

While visiting the Vatican, Metropolitan Borys Gudziak, accompanied by Vicar General Peter Waslo and the Archeparchy’s Chief Financial Officer George Mykytyn, held a series of meetings and took part in several ecclesial events.

On Monday, February 9, the delegation visited the Dicastery for Eastern Churches, where they met with its Prefect, Claudio Gugerotti. They also met with Dicastery for Communication, speaking with its Prefect, Paolo Ruffini. During the visit, they stopped at the Ukrainian section of Vatican Radio, which is marking 95 years since its first broadcast.

The group participated in the Divine Liturgy at Saint Sophia Cathedral, during which His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk ordained Deacon Daniel Galadza to the priesthood and visited the crypt of Saint Sophia cathedral. They also attended Vespers at the chapel of Sant'Antonio Abate all'Esquilino.

In addition, Archbishop Gudziak met with students of the Collegium Russicum.

His visit continued with the participation in the annual meeting of St. Sophia Religious Association.
