"Light in the Darkness" offers a source of illumination in an often-challenging world by providing philosophical and theological insights concerning the Holy Mother of God. It emphasizes the renewal of theology surrounding Christ and the Holy Spirit within the Catholic Church. This work includes an exposition of the writings of the late Catholic philosopher Gabriel Marcel, focusing on his concepts of hope and love. Additionally, it features a careful and intriguing comparison between the Roman Catholic theology of Purgatory and the Toll-House tradition found in certain Orthodox Christian practices. Looking into the theology of death helps us get a better grasp of God as our Creator and enriches our Christian journey. It’s an eye-opening way to deepen our faith and understanding!

Rev. David A. Fisher is a priest of the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles (Maronite Catholic). He was ordained on May 31, 1984, by His Holiness Pope Saint John Paul II. He previously served as an Assistant Professor of Humanities at Columbus State and is currently an Adjunct Professor of Theology at Saint Charles Seminary. Additionally, he is an outreach priest for Cross Catholic Outreach.

Rev. Deacon Bohdan Vasyliv is a member of the clergy of the Archeparchy of Philadelphia, serving the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. He is originally from Ukraine. He graduated from Manor College in Jenkintown, PA, and then went on to graduate from the Catholic University of America. Rev. Deacon Vasyliv also graduated from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary and was a former student of Rev. David Fisher.
