The Beginning of the New School Year in the Catholic Schools of Our Archeparchy

The new school year has begun in three Catholic schools of our Archeparchy.

At St. Nicholas School in Minersville, Pennsylvania, children have already started their classes. New students got to know their teachers, the curriculum, and the school community, while those returning after the summer break were happy to reunite with their friends. This school is truly special, as it is run by the Sisters Servants, who are a great support to the children. The spiritual guidance of the priest also fosters the formation of the students.

At St. Nicholas School in Passaic, New Jersey, the new school year will begin on September 3. Our school is very valuable to the local community, providing quality formation and solid knowledge. We give thanks to the Sisters Servants, who faithfully serve the school, as well as to all the teachers, parents, and everyone who cares for the upbringing of the youth.

Teachers at the Assumption Catholic School in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, began the school year with a solemn Holy Mass at St. Augustine Church, where they entrusted this new school year to the Lord in prayer and thanksgiving. As Blessed Carlo Acutis reminds us: “All people are born as originals, but many die as photocopies.” May these words serve as a reminder of the important and unique mission of teachers — to help children become the originals God created them to be.

We extend our greetings and prayers to all principals, teachers, parents, and students! We wish them a successful, joyful, and creative school year. May everyone grow in knowledge, faith, friendship, and relationships.
