The Christmas carol festival took place in Philadelphia

On January 7th, the annual Christmas carol festival, "Today is Born…," was held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Archeparchy of Philadelphia of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. Alongside the choirs of the Archeparchy - the cathedral choir, the choir of St. Michael's parish in Jenkintown, and the newly formed choir of St. Nicholas's parish - participants included the children's ensemble "Soloveyky," the men's choir "Dzvin," and the Quinton School Handbell Choir led by John Wernega. Also taking part were the "Svitanok" wind quintet, young saxophonist Andriy Fartachuk, and the choir of the United Baptist Church from Warminster, Pennsylvania.

The festival was opened by Father Roman Pitula, the parish priest, who also served as the master of ceremonies. Among the attendees were Ukrainian soldiers who had lost their limbs defending Ukrainian freedom and were now undergoing prosthetics and rehabilitation in the USA.

The event concluded with remarks from Metropolitan Borys Gudziak, who expressed gratitude to all participants, highlighting that the modern world needs this. "The world needs the mystery; we need to know who God is and who we are. God is with us," he emphasized.
