“Ukraine has already won the war morally!”, archbishop Borys Gudziak during the Moleben in Washington

On March 2, 2022, a prayer service to the Mother of God for peace in Ukraine was held at the Ukrainian National Shrine of the Holy Family in Washington, DC.

The prayer service was led by the Archbishop of Philadelphia, Borys Gudziak. After the prayer, Metropolitan Borys addressed the audience with words of support: “There are no words to express what we are going through. Those who have relatives, parents, friends in Ukraine, under fire in the queues in front of the border. There are no words to describe what our bishops are going through together with the priests who have decided to stay and to serve. There are no words to describe what the government is going through. Let us raise our hands before the Lord! We all look at those people who go to the front. They believe in life. They defend life. And by sacrificing their lives, they begin eternal life”.

Many friends of Ukraine, including a group of sisters of the order of St. Teresa of Calcutta,  showed their heartfelt solidarity. Those interested could comment on the situation in Ukraine and share their experiences and thoughts.

We ask for your prayers and support for Ukraine.
