Ukrainian Community Honored by Philadelphia City Council Resolution

On Thursday, February 19, 2026, Philadelphia Councilmember At-Large Rue Landau introduced a resolution honoring Ukrainian heritage.

Speaking in support of this resolution and representing the Ukrainian community were the Honorary Consul of Ukraine Iryna Mazur, President of the Ukrainian League of Philadelphia Mykola Kosyk, Founder of NGO Bridges 2030 International Fernando Ramirez, and Social Outreach Director of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia Marta Rubel. It was a privilege to work with the Councilmember’s Office in assembling such an esteemed delegation.

The resolution titled "Honoring Ukrainian organizations in Philadelphia for their service to Ukrainian Americans, Ukrainian refugees, and the broader Philadelphia community” was unanimously adopted.

The Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia expresses its deepest gratitude to Councilmember Rue Landau, At-Large and to all the members of the City Council of Philadelphia for supporting and recognizing the contributions of our Ukrainian community.
