Ukrainian Medical Professionals Visit the Archeparchy of Philadelphia

On March 1, a group of Ukrainian medical professionals and university lecturers visited the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia. They had come to the United States to participate in the annual conference of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.

Among the guests were: Viktoriia Rodinkova, Professor of the Department of Pharmacy at Pirogov Vinnytsia National Medical University; Halyna Yeryomenko, lecturer at Kharkiv National Medical University; Halyna Koval, lecturer at Bukovinian State Medical University; Valentyna Chopyak, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Department of Biochemistry, Physiology, and Molecular Biology); Khrystyna Lishchuk-Yakymovych, lecturer at Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, as well as American allergist Dr. Lawrence Dubuske.

The guests participated in the Divine Liturgy celebrated by Metropolitan Borys at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Philadelphia. After the service, they learned about the history and architecture of the cathedral and visited the “Treasury of Faith” Museum, where they discovered more about the history of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the United States.
