      Join us on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at 24th & Poplar Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19130 for the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Food Bazaar & Folk Market, where we’ll be serving a variety of homemade favorites — potato and blueberry varenyky, borshch, holubtsi, bigos, pastries, and more.

      Proceeds from the bazaar support ongoing repairs to the church roof, interior ceiling, and walls. A portion of the funds is also dedicated to helping Ukrainians affected by the war in Ukraine.

      Over 40 Fantastic Christmas Baskets are Back at Holy Myrrh-Bearers!

      Holy Myrrh-Bearers Parish at 900 Fairview Road in Swarthmore (Ridley Township) announces the opening of our annual Christmas Basket Raffle. 

      An abundance of beautifully prepared, themed raffle baskets (over 40+ baskets) will be on display in the church social hall. 

      Basket winners will be announced on Sunday, December 7th at our annual St Nicholas Dinner, and winners need not to be present to win. 

      Tickets are $2.00 each / 3 for $5.00/  8 for $10 / and 17 for $20. 

      This year, there is another “Big Item” basket table and these chances are $5.00 each / 5 for $25. 

      Big ticket items include Eagles Tickets, a large flat screen television, and several other sought-after high-dollar value items. Baskets can be viewed, and tickets are available in the social hall from 10:00 am- 2:00 pm on the Wednesdays of our Pierogi sale week and on all Saturdays through December 6th.

      St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church invites you to a special Advent and Christmas concert: “One Faith – Many Voices: Christmas in Ukraine”

      Join us for an evening of sacred music drawn from the Christian Slavic tradition. A quartet of professional singers led by Dr. Donald Meineke, Artistic Director of Choral Arts Philadelphia, will present music of the season both old and new in English, Ukrainian, and Church Slavonic.

      THE PROGRAM: The concert will feature:

      Part I: A musical tribute to St. Nicholas, the patron saint of our parish.

      Part II: Byzantine and Znamenny Chants reflecting the Nativity.

      Part III: Traditional Ukrainian Christmas carols and works by composers Maia Aprahamian and Myroslav Skoryk.

      Part IV: Choral prayers for peace, including Bortniansky’s "Beneath Thy Compassion" and Lysenko’s "Prayer for Ukraine."

       RECEPTION: A post-concert reception will be held in the Parish House (871 N 24th St.) to meet the singers and enjoy light refreshments.

       TICKETS: $15 at the door.

       PARKING & TRANSIT: Limited on-site parking and free on-street parking is available. Accessible via SEPTA bus routes 7 and 15.

      The concert will open with a musical tribute to St. Nicholas, whom we in the West know as “Santa Claus” and who is the patron saint of the parish. Liturgical music will follow along with a selection of Ukrainian Christmas carols, and then conclude with choral settings of prayers for peace. Ticket sales support the parish’s special outreach to Ukrainian refugees living here and humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine. “One Faith – Many Voices” is a concert series hosted by St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. Its mission is to preserve and present traditional Eastern and Western sacred music, both old and new. Its goals are to educate, engage and edify its attendees.

      Квартет професійних співців під керівництвом д-ра Дональда Майнеке (Dr. Donald Meineke) представить святкову духовну музику — як давню, так і сучасну — англійською, українською та церковнослов’янською мовами.

      У ПРОГРАМІ:

      Музична присвята святому Миколаю.

      Візантійські та знаменні розспіви.

      Традиційні українські колядки та твори Мирослава Скорика і Майї Абрамян.

      «Молитва за Україну» (М. Лисенко) та духовні гімни Дмитра Бортнянського.

      ПРИЙНЯТТЯ: Після концерту запрошуємо до парафіяльного будинку на спілкування зі співцями та легкі закуски.

      ВХІД: $15 (квитки при вході).
