With Pascal joy, we share with you that four men will be ordained to serve in our Archeparchy in May 2026.
Deacon Ihor Demydas will be ordained a priest on the Feast of the Ascension, Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 12:00 pm, at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Philadelphia, PA.
Deacon Ihor Demydas is a cleric of the Ternopil-Zboriv Archeparchy in Ukraine, a graduate of the Ternopil Seminary, Ukraine, and holds a licentiate from the John Paul II Pontifical Theological Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences in Rome, Italy. He is the assistant director of the Archeparchy’s Office of Youth Ministry.
Subdeacon Vitaliy Kit will be ordained a deacon on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 10:00 am during the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at Saint John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Whippany, NJ. Vitaliy Kit is a graduate of the Holy Spirit Seminary in Lviv and has worked for many years at Saint George Academy in New York City.
Subdeacons David Wallace and Kyle Hayes will be ordained deacons on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 10:30 am during the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at SS Joachim and Anna Ukrainian Catholic Church in Front Royal, VA.
Subdeacons David and Kyle are completing their diaconal formation at the Mission Institute of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saint Nicholas in Chicago, IL. Both were ordained subdeacons by Metropolitan Borys Gudziak on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at their home parish in Front Royal, where they are actively involved in every aspect of parish life.
