39th Annual Easter Bazaar and Pysanka workshop at the Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine of the Holy Family in Washington, DC

On Saturday, April 5, Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine of the Holy Family hosted its 39th Annual Easter Bazaar and Pysanka workshop in Washington DC. It was a vibrant and eventful day that brought together parishioners, friends, and guests in preparation for the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Holy Family Parish had delicious food, beautiful handmade crafts, and unique artisan goods that reflected the richness of our culture and the creativity of our community. Guests also had the opportunity to take guided tours of our church, where they learned about the history of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church and the story of our own Holy Family Parish. A highlight of the event was the traditional pysanka (Easter egg) workshop, where participants learned the art and symbolism of this cherished Ukrainian tradition.

Afterwards, parishioners gathered in Akathist Prayer to the Mother of God for the Akathist Saturday.
