On January 16, 2026, a festive Christmas caroling gathering for the clergy of the Archeparchy took place. The evening began with a communal prayer in the Cathedral Church. At the conclusion of the prayer, Metropolitan Borys Gudziak addressed the priests with a brief message of encouragement and gratitude.
The Metropolitan expressed his heartfelt thanks to the clergy and their families for their faithfulness to ministry during these challenging and turbulent times, emphasizing the importance of inner focus and spiritual freedom. “I thank you, dear Fathers and dear families, for remaining witnesses of goodness in this turbulent time,” he said. He drew particular attention to the need to preserve spiritual attentiveness and inner peace, which become a source of hope for others. “We must preserve focus and attentiveness — to live in truth, in freedom, and in quiet joy,” the Metropolitan emphasized.
Reflecting on the meaning of Christmas caroling, he spoke of its power to enliven the human heart and restore joy. “Christmas carols lift us up and set us free. Thank you for singing, thank you for caroling in a world where many have forgotten how to sing,” he noted.
Following the prayer, Metropolitan Borys Gudziak warmly welcomed the carolers to his residence, which that evening became not only a place of fraternal gathering, but also a space filled with joyful carols and the laughter of children.
