From January 25 to 28, 2025, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), in collaboration with 20 national Catholic organizations, hosted the annual Catholic Social Ministry Gathering (CSMG).
The event, themed "Missionaries of Hope, Advocates for Justice," brought together nearly 500 leaders in Catholic social ministry and advocacy. Participants engaged in discussions on key issues such as care for creation, climate change, migration, refugee resettlement, global conflicts, peacebuilding, poverty, and healthcare access.
Among the attendees was Archbishop Borys Gudziak, Chair of the USCCB Committee on Domestic Justice and Human Development, who joined fellow Church leaders, policy experts, and community advocates in conversations on pressing social issues. He concelebrated the welcome mass with Cardinal Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States.
The gathering featured inspiring speakers, workshops, and advocacy visits with elected officials.
