During his visit to the US President Zelenskyy awarded Metropolitan Borys Gudziak the Order of Merit, First Class

On September 25, in New York at the Ukrainian Institute of America, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, together with the First Lady Olena Zelenska, met with representatives of the Ukrainian community in the United States. The Head of State honored Metropolitan Borys Gudziak with the Order of Merit, First Class.

Metropolitan Borys addressed the President and the attendees, noting that the prayers of Ukrainians are offered many times every day. He spoke about his visits to Kharkiv, Poltava, Odesa, Pivdenne, and various cemeteries, as well as the honor of leading the funeral of Andriy Parubiy.

The metropolitan emphasized: “The losses are immense, but God’s truth will prevail.” He embraced the President, expressing warm words of support.
