Hope Anchors, Faith Sails: Archeparchy of Philadelphia Publishes 2025 Annual Report

The Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia has released its 2025 Annual Report, a publication that highlights the life, mission, and enduring history of the Ukrainian Catholic Church across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. Its pages celebrate not only institutions, but above all the people—clergy, religious, and lay faithful—who keep the Church’s mission vibrant and alive.

The report opens with a message from Metropolitan Archbishop Borys Gudziak, who reflects on the Church’s vocation amid the ongoing war in Ukraine and the social challenges facing American society. He expresses gratitude for the steadfastness of the faithful, the generosity of benefactors, and the resilience of parish communities navigating new realities. The Archbishop invites all to see the Church as a vessel moved by the Holy Spirit—guided by faith and sustained by the witness of countless parish communities.

Through profiles, data, and visuals, the report captures the vitality of the Archeparchy’s network: more than 60 parishes and missions served by nearly 50 priests.

The publication also highlights the Archeparchy’s diverse ministries—from catechetical formation, communications, and youth outreach to the development of archives, charitable aid for Ukraine, and collaboration with the global Church.

At the heart of the report is a central visual tribute to the Archeparchy’s parishes—many founded over a century ago—which honors the pioneering pastors who laid the foundations for thriving communities that continue to serve and inspire today.
