Ireland continues to stand with Ukraine in solidarity

On March 19, Rev. Ivan Turyk was honored to participate at the breakfast sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Middlesex County Div #1, South Amboy, NJ.  The event was also attended by Senator Joe Vitale,  Assemblywoman Yvonne Lopez, Fred Henry, mayor of South Amboy,  Craig Coughlin, the Assembly Speaker and Rev. Stanley Gromadzki - Pastor of Sacred Heart Church - South Amboy, NJ.

All political dignitaries expressed their full solidarity with the Ukrainian people. Rev. Ivan Turyk noted on his Facebook page: Thank you my good Irish friends for voicing your support and for your generous donation of $500 to our Parish Humanitarian Aid Fund.

Ireland has been one of the most welcoming countries in the European Union for Ukrainian people. It has taken in over 50,000 Ukrainian refugees since the war. Thanks to our parishioners, Joseph Britton, an Irish man, and his Ukrainian wife  Rozalia Czaban for bringing awareness of the war in Ukraine to our NJ communities.
