Meeting of the Pastoral Council group of the Philadelphia Archeparchy

On July 20, the fifth meeting of the 22-member Pastoral Council of the Philadelphia Archeparchy was held. Bohdan Danylo from the Eparchy of Parma attended as a special guest.

During the meeting, Metropolitan Borys spoke about the ministry of the newly-arrived missionaries and their families from Ukraine. Metropolitan Borys and Bishop Bohdan presented the details and process of drafting the Pastoral plan of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church through 2030.

Bishop Andriy Rabiy shared his experiences of the children’s camp held at St. Michael’s Parish in Jenkintown during July.  According to his observations, children should be together to form a spiritual and emotional bond.  Each day, a childrens’ Divine Liturgy was celebrated, followed by catechism class.

The participants of the meeting also shared their experience of parish life, as well as the challenges and opportunities since the end of the pandemic.
