Metropolitan Borys Gudziak Participated in the Theological School for Employees of the Ukrainian Catholic University

“Pedagogy of relationships” was the main theme of this year’s Theological School of the Ukrainian Catholic University, which took place in the Carpathians on June 22–25 and brought together over 70 faculty and staff members. Metropolitan Borys Gudziak, who serves as the President of the University (Chair of the Supervisory Board), joined the participants of the school.

“All our Church life — the structure of the church, its adornment, icons, divine services, sacraments, baptism, our practices, asceticism, and prayer — all of it has one goal: to unite us with God,” he said in his homily on June 22 during the Divine Liturgy at the University Church of Sophia, the Wisdom of God, which opened the School. The program included lectures, panel discussions, and communal prayer.

The Theological School is a project created for the UCU community to provide an opportunity to draw closer to God, to get to know one another more deeply, and to experience the spirit of unity. The first UCU Theological School took place in August 1996 at the Dormition Lavra in Univ.
