Metropolitan Borys Gudziak Participates in the 143rd Supreme Convention of the Knights of Columbus in Washington

From August 3 to 7, the 143rd Supreme Convention of the Knights of Columbus — one of the most significant annual events of the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization — was held in Washington, DC (USA). The gathering brought together more than two thousand delegates from various countries for prayer, planning future activities, and strengthening fraternal unity.

Metropolitan Borys Gudziak of the Archeparchy of Philadelphia took part in the Convention.

The Ukrainian jurisdiction at the global forum was represented by National Delegate Mykola Mostoviak, Former National Delegate Yuriy Maletsky, and National Treasurer Myroslav Mazur. They were joined by National Chaplains — Archbishop Mieczysław Mokrzycki, Metropolitan of Lviv of the Roman Catholic Church, and Bishop Mykhailo Bubniy, Exarch of Odesa of the UGCC. The delegation also included Assistant National Chaplain and Alternate Delegate Fr. Viktor Makovskyi and Fr. Andriy Lehovych.

Other UGCC bishops present at the events were Bishop Bryan Bayda, Eparch of Toronto, and Bishop Mykhailo Kwiatkowski, Eparch of New Westminster.

The Convention program included prayer, working sessions, and other events fostering the exchange of experience and deepening cooperation among Knights from around the world.
