Social Outreach — Networking via Ukraine

On August 25th & 26th, Marta Rubel, Social Outreach director of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia accompanied Fernando Ramirez, founder of NGO Bridges 2030, to Sokal, Ukraine, to meet with Tomorrow by Together (TBT), a Caritas affiliated youth non-profit based in Sokal. This face-to-face meeting was the realization of bi-weekly zoom calls that began on May 4, 2025, between TBT, Bridges 2030, and the Archeparchy.

As a trusted partner of Bridges 2030 on past initiatives, the Archeparchy has been asked to help facilitate introductions and communication between Ukraine and Ukrainian communities for the TEEEM | Bridges 2030 Ukraine Initiative. (TEEEM—The Empathy, Equality, Entrepreneurship Mission—is a non-profit which partners U.S. students with underserved communities worldwide.) One of the goals of the TEEEM | Bridges 2030 Ukraine Initiative is to connect American students with Ukrainian students with the aspiration of instilling empathy and compassion and promote inter-cultural development and interaction among peer groups.

Flanking the visit to Sokal, were meetings with the Polish Refugee Forum (Warsaw), Ukrainian Catholic University (Lviv), Vynnykivskyi Scientific Lyceum (Lviv), and Baobab (NGO in Lublin, Poland).
