Metropolitan Borys Gudziak participated in the panel discussion “From Resilience to Unity: The Power of Leadership”

On November 7, Metropolitan Borys Gudziak, Archbishop of Philadelphia and Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in the USA, participated virtually in the panel discussion “From Resilience to Unity: The Power of Leadership” at the Kyiv International Economic Forum.

In his remarks, Metropolitan Borys emphasized that leadership must serve the common good and have a moral dimension, stating, “For me, leadership must always serve the common good. It must highlight the God-given dignity of each person. A leader who lifts others, builds solidarity, and fosters the common good feels not only responsibility but also deep satisfaction. There is nothing better than being life-giving, helping others to develop their talents and potential. Our actions, leadership, and cooperation should be directed toward the common good.”

The panel was moderated by TSN anchor Marichka Padalko. Other speakers included Dan Rice, President of American University Kyiv; Zoya Lytvyn, founder of Osvitoria; Vsevolod Kozhemiako, founder of the Agrotrade Group and commander of the volunteer unit Khartia; Olena Zubchenko, Deputy Chair of the Board at Sense Bank; and Serhiy Zhadan, writer and soldier in the Khartia brigade.
