Metropolitan Borys Visits Parishes in Olyphant and Simpson and Meets the Sisters of Mother Teresa in Mahanoy City

During this week, Metropolitan Borys Gudziak visited the Northern Anthracite Deanery of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia. In particular, he celebrated the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts together with Fr. Nestor Ivasiv and his parishioners in the towns of Olyphant and Simpson.

Together with Msgr. John Yevfef, Metropolitan Borys also visited the sisters of the contemplative branch of the Missionaries of Charity, the religious order founded by Mother Teresa of Calcutta, in Mahanoy City. In addition to their intensive life of prayer, the sisters are engaged in charitable service in the local community.
