Saint John Paul II Seminary visited the Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine of the Holy Family

The Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine of the Holy Family welcomed the 40 seminarians and faculty of Saint John Paul II Seminary of the Archdiocese of Washington (neighbors across the yard) on Thursday, September 7.

The seminarians joined in the celebration of Great Vespers for the Feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God. Fr. Robert Hitchens celebrated the service and was assisted by Fr. Andrii Chornopyskyi. Fr. Volodymyr Radko, vocation director of the Archeparchy, cantored the service and also offered a homily for the seminarians.

The seminarians then enjoyed a festive dinner of "Ukrainian-style" lasagna and varenyky, prepared and hosted by the parish.
